Let’s now take a closer look at the Blink Lite electric skateboard and the company behind this awesome product. Try doing that on a flat road with your standard board. They may be smaller, but some hub motors can propel you along at speeds of up to 25 mph. ![]() ![]() ![]() The single hub motor is much smaller and typically runs on lithium batteries. Meaning you won’t get tired pushing all day and you can even ride up hills. Instead of pushing, riders use a Bluetooth remote to control the speed settings of the skateboard. These days, electric skateboards work a little differently. It’s not much of a surprise that they didn’t really take off. They were bulky, inconvenient, and sometimes would even cause a lot of danger to boarders. In the old days, electric skateboards would have large motors and wires dangling around everywhere.
